Rules for Parents - Healthy Eating

Skipping Breakfast is a BIG no no! Though time can be tight and mornings are always hectic as a parent making sure that your kids get breakfast is imperative for their health. After a full nights sleep your body has been deprived of vital nutrients that it needs to operate throughout the day. Fuel for your kids to think and move is provided for them in the first meal of the day.

Statistics show that out of any meal kids are more likely to skip breakfast and that people who tend to skip breakfast are more likely to take up other unhealthy habits such as smoking and drinking and are far less likely to exercise. Even though skipping breakfast would make you think that you would take in less calories throughout the day this doesnt seem to be true. Statistics show that breakfast skippers tend to take in more calories throughout the day and receive less nutrients and vital nutritional elements. Studies also show that those who eat breakfast are less likely to be overweight and also tend to be less likely to drink soda and eat a healthier diet of fruits and vegetables.
