Weekly Fitness Activity by Athletic Revolution and Power 107.5
Join the Power 107.5 team as they lead families, parents and children in stretching and warm up exercises. Following warm up join Athletic Revolution with fun obstacle course exercises or a series of animial movement exercises.

The H.E.R.O Project
The H.E.R.O. Project is a non-profit organization that focuses
on the growing concern of childhood obesity, diabetes, heart disease, as well as negative social pressures (bullying, etc)
within communities that hinder a healthy lifestyle amongst youth and families. The H.E.R.O. Project promotes the well-being and future of our community by providing child obesity prevention presentations, health and fitness programs and character education (anti- bullying) presentations to children and their families

Summer Series Recipes
Below are a few of our summer series recipes that have been parents and family favorites! They are simple to make and a great activity for the entire family in the kitchen!
Strawberry Salsa
1 1/2 cup of diced strawberries
1 1/2 cup of diced sweet red pepper
1 cup of diced green pepper
1 cup of diced red tomato
1 diced jalepeno (optional)
2 T of minced cilantro
1/2 t of salt
1/2 t of red pepper flakes
1/4 t of pepper
3 T of honey
2 T of lemon juice
Combine all incredients in a large bowl and serve with tortilla chips or over grilled fish.
Mango Avacado Salsa
1 bag of frozen Mangos (diced)
2 avacados (peeled, pitted & chopped)
1 sweet red pepper (diced)
1 red onion (diced)
1 jalepenos - optional (diced)
3 T of cilantro (minced)
1 lime (juice sqeezed into the mixture)
Salt & pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in large bowl and serve with tortilla chips or over grilled fish.
Healthy Corn Salsa
2 Cans of Corn with Red & Green Peppers
1/2 cup of finely chopped red onion
3 diced roma tomatoes
1 diced jalepeno (optional)
2 avacados
2 limes
3 tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
Salt and Pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in large bowl and serve with tortilla chips or over grilled fish.
Green Smoothie by Purely Simple Raw
1 mango, peeled & chopped
1/2 cup pineapple
2 cups spinach
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup water
1 banana, frozen or fresh
Blend together and enjoy!
1 cup soaked raw almonds, rinsed well
4 cups water
2-4 dates
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch sea salt (optional)
Blend all ingredients together and then squeeze through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer to remove pulp. Keep milk refrigerated in a glass airtight jar. Milk will remain fresh for 3-5 days.
*For strawberry milk, once you have your milk finished, reblend with 2 cups fresh strawberries.
*For chocolate milk, once you have your milk finished, reblend with 2 heaping tablespoons raw carob or cacao powder and 1 tablespoon raw honey
Chocolate Pudding by Purely Simple Raw
2 small avocados, pitted & scooped out of shell
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup raw honey, coconut nectar, or your raw sweetener of choice
1/4 cup carob powder (or raw chocolate powder)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 pitted date
2 teaspoons vanilla
Blend until all ingredients are smooth and enjoy! Great served with fresh berries such as blueberries or raspberries.
